📝: This piece is inspired by the song Rabbit by Dogs in a Pile. Which I believe is also inspired by Jefferson Airplane’s White Rabbit, (they were played together by Dogs in a Pile at Rabbit’s debut.) Ultimately these tunes are nods to Lewis Carroll’s fantastical and psychedelic world he created in Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass. I tried to create my own miniature psychedelic wonderland here with a floating ufo castle that hangs above a dog inspired chess set. In the foreground two dogs dance and come apart, revealing their inner connection to the dreamlike world around them. And in the middle foreground lies a pyramid of perception from which the dream is unfolding. “Watch the rook, he’s a no good crook”
